Norrgård

Cottages | Stugor | Mökkejä

Norrgård is situated on an island in Nagu, a small community in the middle of Turku archipelago. The distance from Turku is about 50 km, with a free highway ferry along the way, providing a nice sea-trip to welcome you.
Our cottages lie near The Archipelago Trail, The Pilgrim´s trail St. Olav Waterway and just a few kilometers from the harbours in Nagu. Norrgård is therefore a perfect base for backpackers, cyclers and archipelago explorers.
Norrgård is a small family owned homestead and we are proud to be the fifth generation to run small-scale echological farming along with Nagu´s oldest Holiday Cottage village.
Cottage Finland
Our humble cottages lie on a western slope, close to the sea. They were constructed in the
70´s by old grandpa. For building material he used trees from his own forest which he prepaird in the homesteads own saw. Today the cottages provide a genuine vintage atmosphere and real closeness to the wooded surrounding where the Finnish magic still rules.

Trails and walkways Find a peaceful hideout or have a pleasant picnic!
In total we now have 6 kilometers of our own marked hiking trails at Norrgård with breath-taking views, cliffs by the water and quiet, enchanting forest.
Not more than 2 km away from us lies the bridge of Norrströmmen, from where a picture of the view won the world´s most beautiful stamp competition in 2017. Walk a bit further and you will find Westerholm´s path (named after the painter Victor Westerholm) which leads to the historical hill "Jetukastet". On the top you will find a burial cairn and a new built view tower with great view.

Boat trips and waterways. Discover our unique archipelago by travelling on one of the many ferries that provide communication between the islands.

We warmly recommend a trip to Seili, See time tables, and to the outer archipelago with m/s Utö.
Distances from Norrgård to the harbours: Nauvo village 5 km, Kirjais Port 15 km, Pärnäs 16 km.
